SANCTIFY YOURSELVES, FOR TOMORROW THE LORD WILL DO WONDERS AMONG YOU
History
tells us about revivalists such as AA Alan, Smiths Wigglesworth, John G
Lake, John Alexander Dowie, William Brenham, William Seymour, Aimee
Semple McPherson, Kathryn Kuhlman, Maria Woodworth Etter, Charles
Finney, Even Roberts, Jack Coe, and many other men and women who God
used in ministries of miracles, signs and wonders. In their revival
meetings people were healed of terminal diseases, the blind received
their sight, the crippled walked and even paralyzed people were healed.
In Maria Woodworth Etter’s day most churches didn’t allow women to be
ministers. In her meetings people used to go into trances and visions
for hours. The anointing of God was even felt for miles away and people
were healed in their homes. John G Lake had healing rooms in Spokane
Washington where thousands of miracles were documented each year. In and
of themselves they could do nothing, but all of these miracles were
done through the Holy Spirit in Jesus name because they knew their
authority and carried His anointing.
The other night I was reading my bible and the Holy Spirit quickened the scripture to me from Joshua 3:5 And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
The next morning after I read that scripture again, I turned on a live
broadcast of a church that I used to attend. As soon as I turned it on
the new pastor was quoting that same exact scripture. The Lord said to
me; Sanctify yourselves, I am about to do wonders among you again.
In
the book of Exodus, every time the Lord was going to move mightily
among the people He told Moses to tell the people to sanctify
themselves. He visited him at the burning bush, the encounter with
Pharoah and the ten plagues, Moses parted the Red Sea and millions of
the Israelites went through on dry land, but his enemy Pharaoh and his
army drowned as they tried to pursue them. After Moses died, the Lord
said to Joshua "no man will be able to stand against you, as I was with Moses, I will be with you". The Lord promised to give Joshua the land that he promised Moses. He told Joshua three times in chapter one “Be strong and very courageous”. The
book of Joshua goes on to say how they crossed the Jordan with the ark
of the covenant and they went through on dry ground with the priests
carrying the ark leading them.
Every
time the Lord was about to do great things He told the people to
sanctify themselves. The Lord is about to move among us again in a
mighty way. We have also been called to ministries of miracles, signs
and wonders.
The
Lord says; This is a new day. You are the generation who will walk in
My authority and power and demonstrate My kingdom on this earth. I am
releasing My glory on this earth as it is in heaven. You are not mere
men and women, but you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a
holy nation who will release others out of the kingdom of darkness into
My marvelous light. Sanctify yourselves and allow Me to work in you.
This is the day that My power will be known in the earth. This is the
divine plan and purpose that I have for you in this season says the
Lord.
Joshua 1:5
And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
Joshua 1:8
This
Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall
meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to
all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous,
and then you will have good success.
1 John 2:6
Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
