THE GREAT AWAKENING
The
Lord showed me two things this week about a great awakening that is
about to be released in the earth. As I was reading the Song of Solomon
the Holy Spirit began to reveal several things to me. He said: “There is
a sleeping bride that is about to be awakened”. He showed me an analogy
from the fairy tale which was titled “Sleeping Beauty”. The story was
about a princess named Aurora. The name Aurora means “dawn” She was
cursed to sleep for one hundred years by an evil fairy and then later
was awakened by a handsome prince. The bride of Christ has been lulled
to sleep and is about to be awakened. There are many battle weary
believers who are about to be revived.
Jesus
told a parable about ten virgins. Five of them were wise and kept oil
in their lamps and the other five were foolish because they didn't
continually refill their lamps with fresh oil each time it ran out. They
were wearied from waiting for their bridegroom to come. Oil speaks as a
metaphor of the Holy Spirit. Many of you are getting tired of waiting
because you don't sense God moving in your lives. Some of you even feel
as if the glory has departed (Ichabod) from your life. Jesus wants you
to know that He did not leave you and He wants to release His fresh oil
back into your life once again.
This
is a time of acceleration and the bride of Christ must rise up and
shake off the lethargy. Every opposition that arises and every challenge
that you are facing is an opportunity for you to come to a higher
ground. As seasons are shifting and there are changes coming into the
world, it is now the time for the body to awaken and walk in the calling
and authority that Jesus has entrusted to them. The shifting and the
shaking that is happening in the natural realm is going to catapult you
into the reality of who Jesus really is if you stand your ground. It is
time for the lukewarm church to come out of their slumber and receive
the fresh oil of the Holy Spirit.
The
second thing that the Holy Spirit showed me were race horses at a
starting gate ready to run in a race. They were not just average horses
but they were thoroughbred horses that were equipped and groomed to run
with speed and endurance. They were tenacious, strong, built up and
trained to respond to basic stop and go instructions. They were fit with
the correct bridle and bit in their mouth and disciplined to follow
their masters’ commands
These
are the prophets that the Lord is raising up as forerunners to release
His word across the nations. Just as Elijah outran Ahab's chariots, they
will run with the word that the Lord put in their mouth and confront
the agenda of the enemy. They will show others how to be fed
supernaturally in the times of famine and trust God for their provision
just as Elijah did when he was fed by ravens. They will have the wisdom
of Jesus as they are faced with challenges. They know their authority
and will call down fire from heaven when confronted with the prophets of
Baal. The
Lord is raising them up as generals to lead the troops and equip their
fellow soldiers. He is calling them to the front lines as brave and
determined men and women who does not fear what lies ahead .
He
is raising up prophets who will release His word with clarity and
precision. He will give them the words to speak to take back their land.
They will take a stand against unrighteousness, sin, and injustice, and
they will be steadfast in their convictions. Some will walk in the
anointing as ministers of old. Their voice carries authoritative words
and as they decree a thing it shall be established. Just as Elijah
passed his mantle to Elisha, there will be prophets who will receive a
double portion anointing to be used in a mighty way in the great
awakening that is to come.
"Fear not" says the Lord.
Matthew 25: 1-8 (TPT)
“At
the time my coming draws near, heaven’s kingdom realm can be compared
to ten maidens who took their oil lamps and went outside to meet the
bridegroom and his bride.Five of them were foolish and ill-prepared, for
they took no extra oil for their lamps. Five of them were wise and sensible, for they took flasks of olive oil with their lamps. When the bridegroom didn’t come when they expected, they all grew drowsy and fell asleep. Then
suddenly, in the middle of the night, they were awakened by the shout
‘Get up! The bridegroom is here! Come out and have an encounter with
him!’ So
all the girls got up and trimmed their lamps. But the foolish ones were
running out of oil, so they said to the five wise ones, ‘Share your oil
with us, because our lamps are going out!’
Acts 2:17-21
'And
it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out
of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And
on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in
those days; and they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above
and signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The
sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the
coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to
pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
PRAISE THE LORD.
