AS I WAS WITH MOSES I WILL BE WITH YOU
It’s amazing how the Lord could speak to us about something that He showed us years ago. This afternoon as I was reading my dream journal from March 2011, a particular dream caught my attention. In this dream I was in a church that was filled with people. Suddenly there was complete silence. As I looked around I noticed that the people were falling asleep one after another all around the room. Then to my amazement I looked up and saw the pastor who was ministering also fell asleep. I was puzzled and didn't know what to make of this. When I woke up I asked the Lord what this dream meant and He gave me this interpretation. The church is falling asleep because the ministers are falling asleep behind the pulpit. They are weary, spiritually drained and lost their zeal for the things of God. They are no longer led by the Holy Spirit but ministering from a dry well.
This is what the Holy Spirit is showing me. Moses is dead. It is time for the Joshua’s to arise and take their place. There are many apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers who are following the law and not led by the Holy Spirit, therefore they are out of order. There are also ministers who are serving up stale manna that they served years ago because they are not seeking the Holy Spirit for fresh revelation. Their sermons are regurgitated because they lost their focus. Some refuse to come out of their comfort zones because they are concerned with the opinions of people. Fear has entered into the heart of many and they are allowing the things of the world to put them into a stupor.
In the book of Joshua chapter one, when Moses died the Lord spoke to Joshua and appointed him as Moses' successor. He told Joshua to get ready to cross the Jordan River with the people into the Land that He was about to give them. He said “I have given you every place that the sole of your foot shall tread as I promised Moses”, “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.
The Lord wants to raise up anointed Joshua’s to take the place of Moses He is calling believers to step up and step out of their comfort zones. He wants to wake up those who are spiritually lethargic. He is telling people not to fear the days ahead. The body of Christ has been called to be world changers but we are falling asleep. Jesus is calling you to come back into alignment to what He has called you to do. Some of you have lost your focus and are bowing to the prophets of Baal. Come back to your first love. Return to the promises of the Lord. Return to the secret place. Throw off the weights of oppression that are causing you to be spiritually drained.
It is time to refocus and renew the love of God that once burned in your heart. As you take your eyes off the natural realm and open your eyes to the realm which is unseen, the Holy Spirit will empower you to accomplish all that He has assigned for you to do. Receive a fresh impartation of the Holy Spirit and ask Jesus to ignite a passion in you once again.
Joshua 1:1-6
Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord spoke to Joshua son of Nun, the assistant of Moses: “Moses My servant is dead, so now get up and cross over the Jordan—you and all this people—to the land that I am giving to the children of Israel. I have given you every place that the sole of your foot shall tread, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Mediterranean Sea toward the setting of the sun will be your territory. No man will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, I will be with you. I will not abandon you. I will not leave you.“Be strong and courageous, for you shall provide the land that I swore to their fathers to give them as an inheritance for this people.
Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart
