PLEASE TAKE YOUR SEAT
The past few months the Lord has
been showing the body of Christ stadiums being filled with believers
gathering together for crusades. Tonight the Holy Spirit brought me back
to another word that I had a few years ago. I saw people gathered in a
massive stadium. When the speaker came out, the crowd rose to their feet
with a thunderous applause. I could not see who the speaker was,
neither could I see what gender they were, but then I heard them
announce, "Please take your seat." I then recognized that this was the
Lord Jesus Himself making an announcement to the body of Christ.
We have heard that this is the year of the voice. There is a
nameless, faceless generation who are going to release the Word of the
Lord. Every believer has a gift and many are about to discover what that
gift is. There are those who have gifts of healing and some have gifts
of creative miracles. Some have gifts of prophecy and some have a word
of exhortation. Your personality, your character and your physical
appearance has all been engrafted into what you have been called to do.
Many of those who are already in ministry are going to be promoted from
the basic economy level l to first class seats.
As I was writing this the Holy
Spirit reminded me of a talk show host who gave extravagant gifts out to
their audience. The guests were not expecting anything in return when
they arrived at the show. In the same way, Jesus has gifts that He wants
to release to the body of Christ. He wants to give you priceless gifts
of discernment and gifts of revelation. He wants to open your spiritual
ears to hear His voice and open your spiritual eyes to see in the Spirit
realm. Many of you who have been hidden, will be used mightily in this
end time harvest.
The Holy Spirit wants to equip
you and empower you for this new season. He has called believers to take
dominion over the earth. You don’t need a pulpit, a podium or a
platform to do what He has called you to do. Your gift will make room
for you and bring you before great men. As you seek Jesus in the secret
place, He will seat you in your rightful place. He will give you
authority in the place that He has assigned to you because you will have
His mark of approval. Then you will begin to speak not just with
persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and
of power.
Proverbs 18:16
A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5
And my speech and my preaching
were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of
the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of
men but in the power of God.
1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our
gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the
Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were
among you for your sake.
1 Peter 4:10 -11
As each one has received a
gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace
of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If
anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies,
that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom
belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
