GET READY FOR A SHOWDOWN

 

The past few months have been a time of turmoil, contention and violence in our country. People are pointing their fingers at Christians saying “Where is your God”? The accuser of the brethren is at the door trying to accuse the prophets of being false prophets. He is trying to accuse the pastors, teachers and evangelists of giving bogus messages. He is criticizing the apostles saying that they are in error and missed God. Even some Christians are being deceived and beginning to doubt the word of the Lord.

There is a story in the book of 1 Kings about the prophet Elijah confronting the false prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. Elijah invited the prophets of Baal to a challenge. He asked them “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God then follow Him. If Baal is God then follow him. Elijah told them to make a sacrifice without a natural fire and the God who answers by fire will prove to be God. They built and alter, slaughtered and cut the oxen and laid them out on the wood of the alter.

Elijah then told them to pray to their God to send fire to light their sacrifice. The prophets of Baal prayed all day and night. They even cut themselves to offer a blood sacrifice to their God to no avail. Elijah mocked their god. The next day Elijah told them to pour water on the alter three times. When they did he then called on the Lord (Jehovah) and the Lord answered and sent fire and consumed all the water, the sacrifices and the stones. When all the people saw it they fell on their faces and declared “The Lord (Elohiym) He is God”.

We are about to have a confrontation with the false prophets, the prophets of Baal and the religious leaders. It is not a physical battle but a spiritual showdown with the ideologies of man-made religions and the traditions of men. We about about to show the world that the one true God is Jesus Christ. We are about to win over those who are ensnared by false doctrine, deliver people from the kingdom of darkness and bring them into the kingdom of light. Do not fear or be intimidated by the prophets of Baal, as their plans will not succeed. The Lord is about to show Himself strong on our behalf. 

We are about to see the demonstration of the power of God. The time has come for His glory to be revealed. The Lord is about to raise up a generation who will not be afraid to call down fire from heaven to consume false doctrine. They will tear down the religious alters and the kingdoms that the enemy is trying to erect. We are about to witness the inevitable supernatural intervention of God in our country. Don’t be moved by those who doubt, and don't listen to talebearers. Call things that are not as though they are and stay focused. Speak the word, pray the word and pray in the Spirit. Connect to those who believe. Jesus is about to demonstrate His power in a magnificent way in the days ahead.


1 Kings 18:38-39 
Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, "The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God! 

1 Corinthians 2:45 
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

"HE MAKES HIS MINISTERS FLAMES OF FIRE"

June 10, 2016 "HE MAKES HIS MINISTERS FLAMES OF FIRE" The Holy Spirit showed me a campfire that had died out but underneath, the embers were still red hot.  The embers radiated heat long after the fire was out and could easily ignite again if they were stoked, poked or if the wind blew upon them.  The embers were smoldering which means that they were still burning, yet without a flame. The Lord gave me this analogy from Leviticus 9:23-24 of how God supernaturally sent fire on the altar for the burnt offerings.  Although the fire was kindled by God Himself, the priests had to continually keep it from ever dying out.  This required a regular removal of the ashes and anything which would prevent the fire from burning. “The Desert Places and The Resting Places Encounter – January 16, 2019”

                          As I lay down to rest, the Lord came and invited me to follow him. In the vision, I get up and follow him and find myself walking in a vast hot desert. All around us are sand dunes as far as I could see. The wind was hot and was blowing sand on us as we went. My feet were struggling to keep up with the Lord as He purposefully trudged forwards to His destination. I pressed harder in the soft sand and said, “Lord, where are we going?” The Lord just kept walking. After awhile, the Lord slowed down and I saw that we came to a place where there was an old well in a cleft among the dunes. It was ancient, well used, and it had old dry clay built up all around the sides.
